Patricia A. Wand teaches, researches and writes on issues related to higher education, libraries, knowledge management and international development. Her research focuses on the role of libraries and information centers in developing economies. Ms. Wand was Dean of Libraries, Zayed University (UAE) 2006 – 2010 and served as University Librarian at American University, 1989 – 2006. She was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Colombia in 1963-65.
